The Snow Continues...

I thought for sure that the days of crazy amounts of snow were long behind us after last year's freak debacle, but turns out that the days of getting more than a foot of snow are alive and well. Lucky us! This week, we had a storm come in out of nowhere and dump more than 18 inches of snow on us over two days - and we were not expected to get anywhere near that much. On the bright side, we did have not one, not two, but THREE snow days this week which gave me and Marty lots of bonus time with our favorite kiddos.

Lucas enjoyed playing outside with me for approximately 5-10 minutes each day, and Elise enjoyed sledding, building snowmen, skiing, making snow-angels and shoveling with her father for approximately 2-3 hours each day. It has worked out well - although I think we are all feeling pretty sick of the snow at this point. It has been more than 3 weeks since we've seen grass (which has been covered by snow from storm after storm). Wearing pj's and drinking hot chocolate is fun for a few days, but even Elise asked last night if it was going to be Spring soon.

I was sad to tell her that this winter still has quite a long time to go!
