He Said, She Said

Kids have a way of being completely hilarious, particularly when they are not trying to! I used to post "Ellie-isms" quite frequently, but got out of the habit. I have found myself writing down some adorable things that Elise and Lucas have been saying lately so I thought I'd make a note of it here (my unofficial baby book)

I was putting Lucas down for a nap and he wanted me to read him yet another story. I told him that I needed to go eat lunch because my belly was saying "Feed me! I'm hungry." Lucas responded "My tummy is saying 'I need to sleep!'"

In the grocery store one afternoon, Elise randomly explains to me "When babies are born, they are naked. So when I have a baby, I am going to buy clothes - like from the store - and have them ready for when the baby comes and then put the clothes on real quick so the baby isn't naked anymore."

On the super warm day we had last week, Elise exclaimed "It's so warm I could wear short sleeved pants!"

Super Bowl Sunday I told Elise that we were going to have pizza for dinner AND we were going to eat it downstairs in front of the tv - to which she replied: "This is the Best. Day. Ever!"

While changing his diaper, I asked Lucas when he was going to start using the potty. He replied "Next week." (and continues to say that every time we have asked him for the last two months!)
